Actual Valentine's Day 2012 vs. Better Than Valentine's Day 2012

Valentine's Day this year was a little different than most.

It was Arizona's 100th birthday!!!

It was so great! I loved the drive home from Utah seeing Arizona Centennial signs all along the AZ highways. It made coming back that much better.

To celebrate, Camaron and I (and a couple of our favorite buddies) went to Arizona's 100 years of Love celebration. It was thrown by one of our local radio stations and we got free food, drinks, pictures, dancing, and a horrible wedding singer. It was awesome.

They even had a wedding vow renewal ceremony (I laughed through the whole thing).

We had a ton of fun, but I was a little bummed we didn't really plan anything or do anything else for V-day together this year (mostly because we didn't have a car and Cam had to go out of town the next day)

I just really like planning and getting excited for holidays:)

Better Than Valentine's Day 2012 was born!!!

We celebrated our new fav holiday this past Friday night and I took charge since 

Camaron did the honors last year.

This was so fun for me; I love planning out surprises (who doesn't??).

I wanted to focus on what I knew Cam would love, so we did a bunch of our fav AZ date night things,

but Camaron had to put some clues together first to figure out what we'd be doing

(Valentine's dates aren't complete without some amount of cheesiness)

It was a night of yummmy subs, amazing ice cream sandwiches, pug shirts, getting confused, street musicians, hiding candy, cool movie, soggy popcorn,  and laughter.
I highly recommend BTVD. I can't wait to do it again next year!

*note: the same old man ended up in locations 1-3. He was our date night stalker. Every date night needs one.
**other note: Camaron did surprise me with flowers on BTVD. What a sweetie.

Trying to Stay Productive

Camaron and I moved back to blessed AZ just about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the place we want to live wouldn't let us apply until we were actually in AZ, so we were finally able to get all of that fun paperwork turned in, and now we're playing the waiting game. Fortunately, we have been able to stay and eat (oh blessed mama's cooking) at my parent's house during the waiting game. 

Yeah for not being homeless!

Camaron has been on a job hunting rampage since we've been back. Seriously, this kid is so awesome. He's basically scored himself 2 sweet internships, an amazing job (fingers crossed until we officially hear back in a week or so), and a fall-back job with yummy free food:)

Me? 

uhhh, well I went to and bombed an interview (The guy was weird though, so I'm kinda relieved), turned in 2 other applications for jobs I actually want, and caught myself up on this season of Parks and Rec. So, basically, I'm a bum living with my parents. 

Seriously though, where do you apply for jobs when you know you'll only be working for 6 months (baby's coming), and you need 2 naps a day?

Oh, but I guess I was a little extra productive this week. Look what I finished designing:

Cutie Daisy of The Story of Daisy Girl asked me a little while ago to design a new header, tabs, welcome pic, and sidebar buttons for her darling blog. 

Thank you Daisy for helping me feel accomplished this week!

And I'm so excited to be celebrating Better Than Valentine's Day 2012 tonight!!!

Are You There Baby? It's me, Andrea

So, I'm pregnant. 

(as mentioned previously, here)

I'm 14 weeks today and feeling awesome and can't wait until I start feeling little kicks

 and start getting too big for all of my clothes.

Seriously.

I feel so so blessed with how easy this pregnancy has been for me so far. 

Hardly anything has changed* in the past 14 weeks.

It's been awesome ...yet somehow frustrating.

Yes, I've been to the doctor and the pregnancy was confirmed.

We even heard the precious little heartbeat and I cried:)

But it honestly still doesn't feel real at all yet

(then again, it probably won't feel real until I have the baby in my arms)

I know I'm being silly and I'm going to be praying to feel like this again in just a few months when I'm huge and in pain and busting out of all of my clothing, but it's just weird for me right now.

That's where I'm at in my first pregnancy so far.

Any other baby mamas out there? When did it feel real for you?

p.s. Confession: In my announcement post, I am totally pushing out my tummy. My dad called me out on it. I was worried no one would believe me. I'm so weird.

Film Foto Friday {Provo}

We've been back home in AZ for a week now. It's glorious.

But I feel I owe Provo a little tribute. We had a lot of fun during our Utah adventure.

I took these photos a couple weeks ago to remember some of my favorite things 

about this chilly little town.

BIG CHANGES -Yes, you are correct

So, Cam and I have started flossing. It was a little rough at first, but now we're getting the hang of it and our gums have stopped bleeding (actually, Camaron used to floss all of the time. It's what first turned me on to him).


Ok, that's not all. We moved!!! We trekked down to Arizona this weekend for another big step in our life

Yes, that's right.
We're adding another little member to our family (and no, it's not a puppy ...yet)
I'm due in August and couldn't be more happy or excited!!!

i think benny was my first real crush.
he was such a man.

and taught me my first swear word.

Hey lovelies! Valentine's Day is next week, and I thought a fun way to celebrate this day of love would be to take a fun look back at some of our favorite loves. Our favorite "Heartthrobs" if you will. Today's heartthrob post comes from a blogger who never fails to stun me with her posts. Whether they are just freakin hilarious, or full of gorgeous images, Mandy of Dash Mandy has a true bloggy talent. Oh man, this post brings back so many wonderful, wonderful memories.

 Growing up as po' folk, we didn't have any fancy cable.

But when I went to a friends house, or was babysitting,

I made sure to always catch an episode of Even Stevens.

 {So smart.}

 My heart fluttered as that curly-haired,

large nostriled dreamboat bounced onto the screen.

I couldn't draw my eyes away from his flowing, unbuttoned shirt over his generic tee.

Shia Labeouf was funny and cute and I was in love.

 {Don't be intimidated by my photoshop skills.}

Then he grew up, and his cheeks hollowed out, his chin lost its roundness,

and that once beautiful mane became sleek and sophisticated.

Blech.

I'm sad to say that my champion matured.

And though many find him handsome now, the appeal for me has gone.

Yes.

He would have.

Valentines HeartThrob {Mauri}

Hey lovelies! Valentine's Day is next week, and I thought a fun way to celebrate this day of  love would be to take a fun look back at some of our favorite loves. Our favorite "Heartthrobs" if you will. Today's heartthrob post comes from one of the cutest little bloggers I know, Mauri from Classy and Fabulous. She has filled this post with tons of yummy 90s eye candy. Enjoy!

First of all, I'm just tickled to be guest posting on Andrea's freaking sweet blog-(what up guuurrll)! Seriously, it's truly an honor to grace this totes adorbs blog with my presence to talk about some juicy LOVE stuff in honor of Valentine's Day (yeah I just used totes and adorbs in the same sentence-so sue me)!

I've loved a lot of guys in my days starting at a young age. Haven't we all...wait, or is it just me?? Well we've all had a few heart throbs that we've fallen in love with-some of which may have even made it to the wall of hotties in our bedroom or the front of our school binders. Maybe they were even loved to the extent that we doodled our first name with their last name-you know, to make sure that if/when we married them it sounded good, flowed right, and our initals looked good :)

Today I am going to confess to you my undeniable love I had for someone who still holds a special place in my heart. Even despite them not loving me back and it not working out...I still loved him dearly and would love to tell you about him and why I loved him so much.

Meet Jonathan.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

I called him JTT though (no big deal-we were tight like that)

Isn't he dreamy?!?!?

From this first picture you call tell right away there are many things to love about him

More specifically:

- Love the flowers. Even though he never sent me any- I forgive him

-LOVE his shirt and vest combo and overall sense of style (nuff said)

-Love his tanned skin
-Love his smile

-and most importantly, I LOVE his hair.

He was also a really great actor. I loved that about him! I loved watching him in the movies, especially in Man of the House. He sure looked good dressed up as an indian in that movie! I always knew he would be the perfect boyfriend-I could just tell.

Some other things I really love that he did:

 Lion King- Simba's voice- LOVE when he would sing "I Just Can't Wait to be King" Don't act like you didn't sing along too because you just loved his voice so much! 

      Home Improvement- definitely the cutest one of the 3!

Any movie with him in it was good. How could you not want to watch that eye candy?? I loved them all!

I also loved his modeling skillz:

 

I really loved those fold old posters I would get of him too. You know, the ones from  BOP, Tiger Beat, YM, Seventeen, etc. Those looked awfully good covering the back of my bedroom door. I loved when they would come out with new pictures of him that I HAD to have to add to my collection.
Such a dream boat!!

But.....

I'm sad to report that we did not get married.
But he will forever hold a place in my heart as one of my first loves!

to Jessie when she declared:
